Contra-Flame is a flame retardant specifically designed
for difficult to treat materials, especially artificial plants
and trees. Standard flame retardants are ineffective in penetrating
the tightly woven construction found in these plantings. CONTRA-FLAME,
if properly applied, will meet present standards established
by various federal, state, and local agencies.
In the area of artificial plants
and trees, construction consists of varied materials such
as basket weave and solid tubs, styrofoam filler, moss and
wood shavings, natural trunks and branches, and plastic link
stems attaching the silk/polyester flowers and leaves. CONTRA-FLAME
is designed to treat all of these components without the need
to utilize seperate products for each class. Some of these
components cannot be satisfactorily treated with any other
flame retardant except CONTRA-FLAME.
Some outstanding highlights of CONTRA-FLAME are:
- Consistent high quality and performance.
- Usable on different materials (silk/polyester, styrofoam,
wicker, preserved flowers, natural wood branches, moss,
etc.)
- Non-hazardous, non-toxic, non-staining, non-acidic.
- No solvents or odors on application or during drying.
- Tested and approved by various laboratories across
the United States. It has been tested and passes the NFPA
701 Small Scale Test which has become a standard around
the world.
- Registered for use in the state of California.
- No residual deposits on surface of sprayed or dipped
material.
- Aesthetic appearance and feel of the treated material
is retained.
- Long service life.
